Full Stack .NET Software Developer

As a .NET Software Programmer, your primary responsibilities are to learn our software code base, researching, designing, implementing and assisting in managing the Pricedex suite of products.

Location: Brockville, Ontario (40 minutes from Kingston, 1 hour from Ottawa, 90 minutes from West Island of Montreal)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager of Technical Operations, the main responsibilities of these positions will include, but are not limited, to the following:
  • Collaborating with other developers, customer support, and managers to create and support applications
  • Conducting root cause analysis and troubleshooting software application issues.
  • Prototyping, Designing and Developing complex Client/Server Web Applications
  • Preparing and creating of Technical Specifications, Development Procedures, and Design Documentation
  • Designing and developing data interfaces to back-end systems
  • Designing and developing of data exports, reports, and published catalogues
  • Writing and designing advanced SQL queries
  • Using version control systems

Desirable Qualifications

  • Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • >3 years’ experience in software development
  • >2 years’ experience with Microsoft C#, ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework Core, Web API and SQL database
  • Experience with Web technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, REST, etc.)
  • Strong technical and debugging skills
  • Ability to present and communicate ideas well

  • Ability to handle multiple projects at once
  • Ability to identify and prioritize tasks that will meet objectives and milestones
  • Desire and ability to learn the industry subject matter and relate it to the customer needs

  • Good verbal and written English communication skills
  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid Canadian passport
